The Glorious Sun Fashion Garment Manufactory (H.K.) Limited was established
The Glorious Sun Fashion Garment Manufactory (H.K.) Limited was established in 1974 in Hong Kong. Driven by the “can-do” spirit and a passionate team, Yeung’s brothers carved their niche by completing a line of “checkered jeans”. It made Glorious Sun the talk of the industry.
Set up manufacture bases in Philippines and Indonesia
Due to the implementation of quota system and the high cost of quota, the Group set up manufacture bases in Philippines and Indonesia, shifting of production base from Hong Kong to overseas.
China’s first processing trade factory
- During the early stage of reform and opening-up in Mainland China, Glorious Sun set up China’s first processing trade factory, Advancetex Fashion Garment Factory, in Rongqi, Shunde. Soon after, Glorious Sun set up equity joint venture factories in several provinces to expand the manufacturing base.
- Advancetex International Trading (HK) Company Limited was founded, shifting from a manufacture-based to a trade-drivencompany.
