Glorious Sun Group has made major investments in building new schools and training new blood for Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas.
As early as 1985, partnering with Xian Northwest Institute of Textile Technology, the Group invested 20 million dollars and founded the Xifang Guangdong Institute of Fashion and Clothing. It was the first institute in Mainland China to adopt international fashion education standards. Thanks to her advanced and professional training method, over 6,000 graduates of the Institute now contribute their talents and skills to the fashion industry.
In 1997, with a donation of 11million dollars, the Group established Glorious Sun School of Business and Management at China Textile University (now Donghua University). Glorious Sun Management Research Institute, a special research center under the School, has made significant contribution to the education mode of “Production, Learning & Research”.
In Hong Kong, the Group supports the education development of tertiary institutes such as the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Caritas Bianchi College of Careers, the Education University of Hong Kong and the secondary schools. In addition, the Group cooperates with Hong Kong Design Institute by offering internship opportunities in the Greater Bay Area for the university students.
Founded in 2013, Jinan University – Glorious Sun Scholarship provides assistance to the secondary school graduates in Hong Kong to study Jinan University in Guangdong. With the aim of enabling the youngster to have tertiary studies, the Scholarship also fosters awareness for contributions to society among the students. To date, the Jinan University – Glorious Sun Scholarship benefits over a hundred of students.
Key members of our management are always invited to have talks to the youth. The Group’s Chairman, Dr. Charles Yeung, was invited by Peking University, The University of Hong Kong and The Chinese University of Hong Kong to share his successful experiences and philosophy to the youth. Mr. Yeung Chun Fan, the Group’s Vice Chairman and General Manager, was invited by 90 universities in the Mainland China to share management skills to the students. Over 130 talks have been held at Peking University, Tsinghua University, Bejing Normal University, Fudan University, etc. The response from the students is enthusiastic.
